Ashley Viruet is a staff attorney in the Housing Rights practice area. Prior to joining TakeRoot Justice, she worked as a Housing Attorney at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House representing low-income New Yorkers facing eviction in Manhattan Housing Court. She is a first generation college and law graduate, earning her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a Public Service and E. Nathaniel Gates Scholar, and her B.A. from the University of Virginia. As a member of a military family, Ashley has lived on both coasts, but has called New York City home for over a decade.
