Julian partners with worker cooperatives, not-for-profits, small businesses, community-based organizations and coalitions regarding legal assistance, political education and/or policy development. After completing a B.A. in his home state at Northwestern University, Julian taught high school Spanish in California and later obtained his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to marrying his interests in institution-building, teaching, cooperative economics and community organizing at TakeRoot Justice, Julian advised international clients in corporate and financial transactions and pro bono clients in small business and not-for-profit matters at an international law firm in New York. Julian enjoys creative writing, cooking veggie dishes and traveling.
