Michele Burger is on the Hunter College Faculty. As a social worker versed in clinical and community organizing methodologies, she employs a holistic and team-centered approach to community organizing on such issues as poverty, housing, social justice, family-life issues, etc. Her experience includes managing campaigns and programs, grants administration, directing constituent services, conducting operational research, and advocacy. She also has experience working in preventive services to protect the wellbeing of families and children.
Michele is a visionary who believes in team-work, collaboration, and accountability. Her career spans domestic and international experience with government and non-governmental organizations, working on social justice programs that address the needs of those less fortunate, including the working poor, homeless people, single mothers, immigrants, low-income seniors, etc.
