Nasoan is Interim general counsel for TakeRoot Justice. She along with TakeRoot’s management team has oversight of legal, regulatory, compliance, and labor relations functions. Nasoan began her career at TakeRoot in 2007 (when it was formerly the Community Development Project at the Urban Justice Center) as a staff attorney and was Director of the Consumer Practice prior to taking on the interim general counsel role. Nasoan has led teams, participated in the creation of our inaugural anti-oppression committee, and participated in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with the TakeRoot labor union. She has taught clinical law at NYU Law and mentored countless law students, interns and volunteers. Nasoan obtained her JD from CUNY School of Law, her Master’s of Journalism from UC Berkeley, and her BA from Clark University
